What experts say about the India Housing Forum – The Andhra Pradesh Chapter
“India Housing Forum – The Andhra Pradesh Chapter is a call to corporates to partner with the Government and handhold the beneficiaries to build their houses and establish infrastructure. We need partnerships to ensure quality of housing and ensuring that every micro section is taken care of and a better implementation is achieved. At the end we all want better habitation for the poor”
- Shri. Ajay Jain, IAS Special Chief Secretary to the Government, Department of Housing, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
"In this scenario, where people are in great need of a dignified home to live in, we have tied up with Habitat for Humanity as our Knowledge Partner. We feel that Habitat, as an organisation that has been in the field of building affordable and low-cost housing for over 37 years, will bring their expertise in construction to this project."
- Dr. N. Bharath Gupta (IAS), Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh State Housing Corporation Ltd.
"In the last two days we have looked at 5 key tracks aimed at developing a roadmap and a strategy for the government of Andhra Pradesh to impact 3 million families through shelter and other interventions. Our job is to unpack the Chief Minister’s vision of Housing For All for Andhra Pradesh. The ambitious goal of reaching 3 million families in the next 5-6 years will not be possible without the engagement of each and every stakeholder."
- Dr. Rajan Samuel, Managing Director, Habitat for Humanity India
